heading the second row of the grid.
Guintoli made some considerable changes to his Aprilia RSV4, which allowed him to make steps forward ahead of qualifying tomorrow. The 30 year old finished 0.383 back from Rea in first, setting a time of 1.43.943. With the changes made, he hopes it will be easy to close the gap on the leaders and as a result, expand his championship lead of just four points ahead of Tom Sykes.
Guintoli said “Today I had a few problems with the strong wind, especially this afternoon. We worked on the bike and made some important changes that I am pleased with and we are pretty close with the pace. I still haven’t taken a really fast lap since I was focused quite a bit on find a good pace. We still need to find a couple tenths, so tomorrow we’ll continue in this direction, preparing as best as possible for the races on Sunday”.
