PATA Honda’s Leon Haslam has broken his leg after a crash in the late stages of the first free practice session in Assen this morning.
Haslam had been running competitive times throughout the session challenging for the top spot, when he crashed with under 5 minutes of the session left he was 5th. Haslam was taken to the medical centre and transferred to hospital where X-rays confirmed the Derbyshire man had fractured his tibia and fibula in his lower left leg.
Haslam will now have his leg pinned in Groningen. PaddockChatter wishes Haslam a speedy recovery.
The next round of the World Superbike Championship is Monza in 2 weeks time.
