Cardion AB and Abraham reveal their CRT ART for 2013.

The shaggy haired Czech, along with his Czech team, run by his super rich Dad have revealed the Aprilia ART CRT bike, that Karel will be running in 2013. As you can see, it is practically the very same colour scheme that has been run by the Cardion AB team for the past umpteen years. That said, one can hardly complain, it still looks great in this writers’ opinion.

Abraham (a graduate of law at degree level), scored several top 10 finishes, along with 3x 7th places over the past 2 years in MotoGP; riding the problematic satellite Ducati Desmosedici. The 23 year old finished last season overall in 14th place, behind the top 2 CRT riders – Aleix Espargaro and Randy de Puniet; both of whom were on an ART like Karel will be riding this year.

He will run one of the 4 ART bikes on the 24 strong grid for next year, hoping to be challenging for the top dog spot of the ‘CRT championship’. Though faces stiff competition from a more experienced looking CRT field in 2013; including the likes of de Puniet and Aleix Espargaro (who will be returning on their ART’s), Hector ‘the Caravan’ Barbera and Hiroshi Aoyama with Avintia, and not forgetting Colin Edwards, who has ditched the troublesome Suter-BMW, for an FTR Kawasaki. A full list of MotoGP riders for 2013 can be found here.

We wish the very best of luck to Karel for the 2013 season…

  1. Karel can rebuild this year without the pressure of a Ducati. I have always rated him since he moved up to 250 and on a LE was always putting good races in and got his reward in Moto2 after half a season wasted on the RSV chassis.
