|Marquez joins Pedrosa for the 2013 season

The Repsol Honda team have today unveiled a completely new look for the 2013 MotoGP world championship at the team launch in Madrid, aired live this morning. The traditional orange and red stay, however the dacker background from previous years has been dropped for white and “REPSOL” appears in larger letters.The new paint job goes along with a new era for the Japanese manufacturer in the sport, signing young protégé Marc Marquez, who at the age of 19 years old has already racked up 2 world titles to his name.
Marquez lines up alongside long time Repsol Honda boy Dani Pedrosa, who lines up in the Spanish super team for the 7th year running. Pedrosa is perhaps under the most pressure this year having come the closest he’s ever been to a world title in 2012, HRC chief Shuhei Nakamoto has signalled that Pedrosa needs to deliver in 2013.
Honda have also announced a new Team Princiapal, Livio Suppo who moved to the team in 2010 from the top job in the Ducati MotoGP project, making preparations for taking Stoner with him the year after, he will continue in his old role as Head of Marketing & Communications, however is now Nakamoto’s number 2.
The Repsol Honda livery will be seen on track for the first time at the Sepang test from 5-7 February.
