The youngest rider in BSB joins one of the oldest riders in the series as Bournemouth Kawasaki pair Chris Walker and Danny Buchan together for 2013. The team, who will be running as the official Kawasaki team in BSB are also believed to have a new sponsor as it looks like energy drink PR1MO will no longer be with the team.
Chris Walker melted the hearts of many a hardened bike fan as he took his ZX10R to victory at Oulton Park in May, Walker’s first BSB victory in around 12 years. A series of good finishes put Walker in a serious position to contend for the showdown places however due to a series of retirements, the Nottinghamshire rider finished 9th in the 2012 standings. However old, Chris Walker should not be written off, a three time BSB runner up and former WSBK race winner, Chris’ experience could come in very handy.
Buchan first rode in the BSB class in the middle of the 2012 season as he replaced rebel Peter Hickman at MSS Kawasaki. Buchan impressed in one of his first rides for the team, coming 4th at Cadwell Park. However, Danny found himself sidelined for a lot of the 2012 season through injury. Danny’s youth mixed with Chris’ experience could be a winning combination for Bournemouth Kawasaki in 2013.
