Stuart Hicken’s Buildbase BMW squad will field Jon Kirham and James Westmoreland for the 2013 BSB season. The team, who ran Barry Burrell and Dan Linfoot for the first half of the 2012 season and Peter Hickman in place of Dan Linfoot for the second half, scored a best result of 4th with a sensational ride from Burrell at Brands Hatch.

Kirkham endured a difficult season with Samsung Honda in 2012, despite winning the season opener at a rainy Brands Hatch. A series of crashes and injury left the 2011 riders-cup winner finishing only 12th in the 2012 standings. Kirkham is happy to be returning to the manufacturer he won the 2010 National Superstock Championship with and is looking forward to getting started in 2013. Kirkham has endured a long relationship with sponsor Samsung, who he took to Crescent Suzuki in 2011 and Honda UK in 2012 however it is widely predicted that Samsung will remain with Honda for 2013…

James Westmoreland, riders cup champion 2012 was left without a rider for 2013 when Team WFR decided to pull the plug on their racing outlets. Westmoreland, who achieved a best result of 4th place with Team WFR tested the BMW S1000RR for Hicken at Cadwell, shortly after the end of the season and said he felt very comfortable on the bike.
